Rush Holt to announce a new ini­tia­tive that will high­light sci­en­tific research made pos­si­ble by the Amer­i­can Recov­ery and Rein­vest­ment Act of 2009 (a k a the con­gres­sional eco­nomic stim­u­lus package).Carter said that engi­neer­ing and phys­i­cal sci­ences had been on “star­va­tion bud­gets” for basic research through­out her 25-year career, northjersey.com reports, and that “with one fell swoop, this bill… really has changed the tone among the whole sci­en­tific community.”
