Ed Fel­ten received $400,000 for his research on pre­serv­ing pri­vacy in the face of sophis­ti­cated web-tracking tech­nolo­gies. Mar­garet Martonosi, Jen­nifer Rex­fordMichael Freed­man, and Mung Chi­ang received $100,000 for their project on Inter­net energy efficiency.
